Which U.S. universities have the most players from Argentina and Latin America

Published October 31, 2026

In field hockey, Liberty University has 8 Argentine players on its roster; in men's soccer, Davis & Elkins College has 6. These are the universities with the most players from Argentina and from Latin America on the rosters we analyzed, by sport.

The numbers come from official rosters with a country of origin listed, only for programs with at least 8 players and a country for 80% or more of the roster. They are not every NCAA program: they are the ones we have complete. Rosters change every season, so take this as a signal of where they already recruit in your region, not as a quota or a guarantee of a spot.

The Argentine presence is small: 11 of 616 men's programs and 5 of 531 women's programs analyzed have at least one Argentine player, almost always just one. That does not mean they do not recruit: it means you should email many programs instead of aiming at a few.

How to use this list

If a university already has players from your country or region, mention it in your email: it is a sign that its staff knows the path. But do not rely only on this list: many programs that are just starting to look at the region also reply. Each Smartrecruit university page shows this aggregate data, without names, in the international players section. Start with the university directory and read the post with the general picture of international players.
